Bengaluru, India based mathcore / prog outfit, Maneating Orchid, are back with a (wisely) modified moniker and new batch of tunes from their recently announced debut full-length, “Hive Mind,” and today we have the privilege of bringing you an exclusive premiere of the album’s 2nd single, “Cover-Up.”
“Cover Up” starts off rather elementary with a short drum buildup that quickly collapses into erratic, stop-start earwig recapitulation. The bouncing guitar line is then briefly joined by some synths layers, which are soon pealed away to reveal characteristically a meandering and dissonant progressive metal riff.
