Thin and The Wind In the Trees, two of the finest mathcore / grindcore outfits currently doing it, have teamed up for what could only be described as a split made in heaven, and today we have the distinct pleasure and privilege of bringing you an early stream of this instant classic of a collaboration.
Although their more recent offerings have been as succinct as ever, in typical grind fashion, I was delighted that Thin made room for what is becoming a trend for them: a lovely acoustic guitar piece to close out their side of the EP. The Wind In the Trees contribution is crushing and oppressive as ever, with effect washed guitars swarming like bees inside the hive (see what I did there?).
The release was also pressed to 7″ vinyl by venerable underground label, Twelve Gauge Records, so do yourself a favor and scoop one up.
