A couple years ago, Rotting In Dirt caught our attention with their EP “///,” a 3 track EP of dark, dissonant, and oppressive metalcore that recalled some of our favorite artists of the same ilk, such as SLC’s Cult Leader.
Now the band are back with their forthcoming EP, “I Am Eating My Shame,” and not much has changed from their debut: if anything, the dark, demented aspects of their music has been turned up even more, and today we have the pleasure of bringing you an exclusive stream.
“I Am Eating My Shame” seems to be a look at the worst in ourselves, with focus on tortured self-loathing and the sometimes evil human nature. Musically, Rotting In Dirt are in top form, with the instrumentals reinforcing lyrical themes while still providing atmosphere and relief with ebb and flow.
