Madison, Wisconsin based Graysea bring 5 tracks of breakdown-heavy mathcore and emotive metalcore on 2nd EP
Madison, Wisoncon’s Graysea are one of the hardest working bands in metalcore. In just under a year, the band has released a staggering 10 music videos to correspond with each track of their existing material, along with accompanying guitar and drum playthroughs, lyric videos, behind-the-scenes looks at their video production, an EP of covers, and even a high quality live session.
With such a serious output, the band has even most recently garnered a cosign from Aaron Gillespie of Underoath, who appears on the band’s most recent single, “Save Face,” taken from the band’s forthcoming EP, Weight In the Water, which was mixed and mastered by none other than Will Putney of END and Fit For An Autopsy, and today we have the pleasure of bringing you the full stream.
Weight In the Water points to an almost immediate evolution and maturation of Graysea’s sound, already showing more range and versatility from their debut last April. The inclusion of Underoath’s Aaron Gillespie has allowed the band to more fully and confidently pursue a melodic palette, as seen on tracks like “Save Face,” which still shows their mosh-consciousness on tracks like “Abandon Meant” and “Worth/Less.”
